Defined as the change in angle of the endplate between flexion and extension when fixing the inferior vertebral body.

Interpedicular Travel (IPT)

Defined as the change in interpedicular distance between flexion and extension radiographs IPT=|D1-D2|.

The combination of ROM and IPT allows both a quantitative and qualitative evaluation of spinal kinematics.
